In 2022, BGSU launched a new brand with a heavy focus on “A Public University for the Public Good.” Madhouse was tasked to develop a TV campaign that would capture the meaningful ways in which BGSU contributes to the public good through their research, partnerships, and approach to education. While it’s always a challenge to make higher education marketing feel new and different, it was intentional to leverage the environmental sounds, simple music, and minimal dialogue in each scene. Each spot highlights three areas within the University that are working hard to make a difference. This softer approach hopes to reinforce the authentic and long-term impact BGSU has made on the public good.

BGSU asked Madhouse to help them captivate the community with a series of greeting cards to be shared throughout the year. From wishing Falcon Flames a Happy Valentine’s Day to celebrating birthdays and ringing in a new year, this illustrated card series brings warmth and personality wherever it travels. Hand-drawn illustrations, a university-inspired color palette and a clever line inside seals the deal (or should we say envelope?).
